Graceland University


Graceland University aided by Community of Christ, was set up in 1895 not only as a higher academic institution but also as an institute for spreading the values of compassion and dedication. For all candidates enrolling for a Graceland University program it becomes the most pleasant experience of their lifetime. With accreditations by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Iowa Department of Education, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Coordinating Board for Higher Education, and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, it offers five online degree courses, sixty degree majors, and thirty six undergraduate majors.

University of Graceland with campuses in Lamoni in Iowa, and Independence in Missouri imparts on campus lessons to nearly 2300 students. In Lamoni Graceland University Iowa campus the institute offers its degree programs through its two schools, namely, Edmund J. Gleazer School of Education, and C. H. Sandage School of Business, and its five divisions: Humanities, Science and Mathematics, Social Science, Health and Movement Science, and Fine Arts. The Independence Campus is the headquarters of the Online Graceland University study programs, and houses the International Health Center and Center for the Study of the Korean War.

  • Master of Science in Nursing;

  • Registered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing (RN to MSN)
The RN to MSN program is a bridge course for Registered Nurses to achieve their Masters Degree through an enhanced curriculum. The MSN program has specializations in Nurse Education, and Family Nursing Practices.

Online Master of Education Degree is offered to aspirants with specializations in Technology Integration, Collaborative Learning and Teaching, Mild or Moderate Special Education, Quality Schools, and Differentiated Instructions.

Graceland University Online Program Requirements

The eligibility criteria differ with Graceland University Online course selected. For enrolling into the RN to BSN (Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program, an applicant must be holding a nursing license in United States and have done clinical service in a local community. Candidates are also required to go through a one-time residency at the Independence, Missouri campus. The same conditions hold for RN to MSN Online program.

For pursuing an Online Master of Education course, an applicant must be an Undergraduate Degree holder from an accredited university. Candidates also need to be currently engaged in a teaching assignment of at least 20 hours a week.
